
The University of Abuja has actually inducted 258 Bachelor of Education finishes into the mentor occupation following their successful licensing by the Educators Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The induction, which marked the 10th event for the university’s Bachelor of Education program, formally admitted the graduates into Nigeria’s mentor workforce.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, commended the TRCN for its dedication to enhancing the mentor profession through efficient policy and quality assurance.
Dealing with the newly inducted teachers, Fawehinmi prompted them to discharge their responsibilities with humbleness and devotion.
“Never ignore the impact you have on the lives of those you teach and other members of society,” the Vice-Chancellor encouraged.
The Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Dr. Ronke Soyombo, who was represented by Dr. Bimbo Okunola, administered the teachers’ oath and charged the inductees to welcome lifelong learning while maintaining the principles and worths of the mentor occupation.
Providing the induction lecture, Teacher Jonathan Ikerionwu stressed the requirement for purposeful mentor, professionalism, ethical conduct, and the pursuit of quality in the 21st-century classroom.
The event highlighted the university’s commitment to producing expertly qualified educators geared up to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s education sector.
