
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized a new set of appointments throughout crucial federal education institutions, in a relocation aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing service shipment in the sector.
Amongst the visits, Modupe Adeola Adelabu was called Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO), while Bongfa Binfa was appointed Rector of the Federal Polytechnic N’yak-Shendam in Plateau State.
Similarly, Babatunde Salako was designated Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and Chinwe Veronica Anunobi was reappointed as Director/Chief Executive of the National Library of Nigeria.
The President also retained Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO and reappointed Idris M. Bugaje as Executive Secretary of NBTE for a second and final five-year term.
The appointments, according to the presidency, are anticipated to enhance institutional leadership and rearrange the affected firms for more effective service shipment.
