
The Governing Council of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education has designated Samuel Oladipo as the new Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The appointment was revealed on Wednesday in a declaration released by the university’s registrar, Oladapo Oke. According to the statement, the choice followed a council meeting held on Tuesday and was formally communicated by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Rahamon Bello.
Mr Bello described Oladipo’s introduction as an item of benefit, dedication, and commitment to the university’s starting ideals. The visit is scheduled to work from May 5.
Mr Oladipo becomes the 3rd native and 6th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university. A teacher of Social Psychology, he is also a structure team member who signed up with the institution in 1999 when it operated as Tai Solarin College of Education. He was elevated to the rank of teacher in October 2014.
For many years, Oladipo has held numerous essential administrative and academic roles within the university. These consist of functioning as Chairman of the University Result Vetting Board, pioneer Director of the Directorate of Research and External Relations, and leader Dean of the College of Specialised and Professional Education. He also worked as Deputy Director of the Directorate of Academic Preparation, Quality Assurance and Research, as well as Sub-Dean of the College of Applied Education and Vocational Technology.
Beyond TASUED, Oladipo has had significant scholastic engagements, consisting of a sabbatical appointment at Adekunle Ajasin University and a postdoctoral fellowship at North-West University in between 2013 and 2015.
A recipient of the National Research Study Fund, Oladipo has released over 70 posts in peer-reviewed journals and authored and modified numerous scholastic and non-academic books. His research study interests cover spirituality and health, help-seeking behaviour, gender-based violence, kid abuse, and psychological scale development.
He is also a member of several expert bodies, including the American Psychological Association and the Psychological Association of Nigeria.
Samuel Oladipo was born on June 29, 1969, in Akinmoorin, Oyo State.
