
The management of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has suspended 2 trainees over claims of cyberbullying the institution’s suspended Trainees’ Union Federal Government (SUG) President, James Iyanuoluwa Adio.
The suspension, which takes instant result, was announced in a declaration published on the university’s official news portal on Friday and signed by the Performing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tajudeen Opoola.
The afflicted students, Alao Iyanuoluwa Odunayo and Olawale Abiodun Samuel, were implicated of conspiring to release Adio’s personal affairs online, supposedly due to the fact that he failed to satisfy their financial demands.
According to the university, the conduct of the two trainees was capable of tarnishing the organization’s image and would not be endured.

The suspended SUG president was accused of indirect involvement in the unauthorised collection of 1,000 from recently confessed trainees for useful sessions, with university authorities declaring that about 700,000 was traced to his personal savings account.
Following his suspension, an explicit video presumably including Adio surfaced online and flowed extensively across social networks platforms, triggering reactions from different quarters, consisting of the National Association of Nigerian Trainees (NANS).
