The Joint Admissions and Enlisting Board has revealed that it will identify the minimum cut-off marks for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Enlisting Assessment at its upcoming policy meeting scheduled for May 11.

The disclosure was made in a statement issued on Sunday by the board’s representative, Fabian Benjamin, who stated the conference would hold at the Body of Benchers Auditorium, Jabi, Abuja.

According to the declaration, the yearly policy meeting will unite essential stakeholders in Nigeria’s tertiary education system to take decisions on admission benchmarks and guidelines for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Benjamin noted that the meeting works as an important online forum where stakeholders collectively settle on the minimum acceptable UTME scores and other admission treatments for universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

He added that the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, is expected to detail major policy directions that will assist the admission process.

The board said participants at the meeting would include vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and admission officers, along with agents of regulatory firms such as the National Universities Commission, National Commission for Colleges of Education, and National Board for Technical Education.

It included that goodwill messages would likewise be provided by partner organisations, consisting of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the National Youth Service Corps.
