
2 students from Kwara State have earned national recognition after providing an impressive efficiency at a global spelling bee competitors held in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The trainees– Yusuf Abdurrahman Oreoluwa and Yusuf Maryam of Ar-Raheem International College, Ilorin– represented Nigeria together with Adeolu Oluwadamilola Oreofe from Ekiti State, protecting a silver medal for the nation at the contest.
In a statement, Kwara State Guv AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq commended the students for their accomplishment, explaining their performance as a moment of pride for the state and the country.
He noted that the success in Harare has certified the trio to represent Nigeria at a worldwide competitors scheduled to keep in China in the coming months.
The guv applauded the trainees for meriting ambassadors, adding that they have signed up with the ranks of Kwara schoolchildren who have excelled at national and international academic competitions.
He also praised the parents of the students and the management of Ar-Raheem International College for what he referred to as a substantial milestone in the children’s academic journey.
AbdulRazaq said the accomplishment reflects the effect of ongoing financial investments in quality and available education, in addition to the advantages of partnership between government and essential stakeholders in the education sector.
He prompted the students to remain focused and continue striving for quality as they prepare to compete on the international phase.
