The University of Port Harcourt has authorized the promotion of 17 academic staff to the professorial cadre and
13 others to the rank of Reader. The management stated the elevation shows their contributions to mentor, research and service to the university and the broader academic community. The Promotion List covers a broad spread of fields; from Geology and Psychiatry to Gas Engineering and Agricultural Extension.
