The Senate of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has actually authorized the introduction of the first batch of short certificate programmes proposed by the Centre for Educational Provider (CES), led by its Director, Prof. Ekei Ikpeme.

The preliminary phase includes 3 expert certificate programmes tailored for diplomats, business supervisors, educators, security workers, and neighborhood leaders. These programs are:

French for Specific Purposes (3 or 6 months): Developed to construct practical French interaction abilities tailored for specialised applications throughout diplomacy, organization, tourism, international relations, and academic settings.

Certificate in Human Resource Management (3 or 6 months): Concentrate on core personnel administration competencies, including recruitment, performance management, staff advancement, employee relations, and contemporary office leadership practices.

Certificate in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (6 months): Supplies useful frameworks in dispute prevention, mediation, settlement, peacebuilding, and serene coexistence for development practitioners, neighborhood heads, security workers, and administrators.
