The University of Abuja(UNIABUJA)has launched a notice to graduands for its 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Event. The notice sets out the approved charges for hiring convocation dress, purchasing convocation proceedings, and collecting certificates. It also offers payment guidelines, dress collection details, procession time, return deadline, and a few Security rules.

- Old gown: N120,000.00
- New dress: N180,000.00

Payment technique for all items
The University states that collection of any product goes through evidence of payment of the stipulated amount.
All payments are to be made in favour of the University of Abuja through the REMITA platform.
Date for collection of scholastic gowns
Collection of scholastic gowns begins on 10 April 2026.
Graduands are to gather their dress at their particular Faculties, Centres, Directorates, and Schools.
Procession time and entry deadline
Graduands are to put together in front of the Senate Structure at 8:30 am for the procession.
The notice includes a firm caution; no graduand will be permitted into the Convocation Ground after 9:00 am.
Deadline for returning scholastic gowns
Academic gowns should be returned not later than 6:00 pm on Monday, 21 April 2026.
Late return will attract an additional charge of 5 Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) per day.
Security notice for graduands and visitors
The University states that luggage and bags will not be permitted into the Convocation arena.
It also says the cars and truck sticker label provided must be pasted on lorries for easy direction of visitors to designated parking area by University safety personnel.
