    PLAC Legislative Internship Programme 2026

    The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre, PLAC, is running a 10-week full-time Legislative Internship Program for 2026. The programme is backed by the European Union, EU, and targets young Nigerians who want to acquire knowledge of legal practice and procedure at the National Assembly.

    It is a full-time placement in Abuja, FCT, and the internship will run from May 2026 to July 2026.

    Internship location and duration

    Stipend and living plan

    PLAC states selected interns will get stipends to cover transportation and lunch expenses within Abuja.

    All other logistics expenses will be managed by the interns. PLAC also states applicants need to have the ability to reside in Abuja throughout the internship, or cover the cost of remaining there, since the centre will not offer accommodation or moving costs.

    Complete the type and upload a CV

    Candidates should finish the online application form and publish a CV in Microsoft Word or PDF format. The file must be saved in the candidate’s name.

    The CV must consist of:

    • State of origin
    • Date of birth
    • NYSC service information, consisting of location of service

    Add a declaration of purpose

    Candidates need to position a “Statement of Function” on the last page of the CV. The statement needs to describe why the applicant wants to take part in the internship.

    PLAC offers these limitations:

    • CV should not be more than 2 pages
    • Declaration of Function must not be more than 300 words
    • Both need to be merged and submitted as one document
    • Overall length needs to not be more than three pages

    PLAC likewise says applicants will copy and paste the Statement of Purpose into the online form.

    Application deadline

    All applications should be submitted by 11:59 PM, West Africa Time, WAT, on Friday, 10 April 2026.

    PLAC says late applications will not be thought about. Applications that do not satisfy the stated requirements will likewise not be considered.
