
Ekiti State Guv, Biodun Oyebanji, has actually rewarded 14-year-old Miss Oluwadamilola Adeolu, winner of the Africa Spelling Bee, along with her coach and school, with cash gifts amounting to N8 million.
The breakdown of the benefit includes N2 million for the student, N1 million for her coach, Mrs Esther Omolayo, and N5 million for her school, St Lawrence Metropolitan College, Ado Ekiti.
The governor also committed to sponsoring Adeolu, her mom, and her coach to represent Africa at the upcoming World Spelling Bee competitors scheduled to take place in China later on this year.
