Northwest University, Kano, has announced that registration for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin on Monday, 23 March 2026 and
end on Saturday, 26 April 2026. All newly confessed trainees are anticipated to follow a four-stage process to finish their documentation. The actions cover professors screening, medicals, portal registration, course registration, and last clearance; each phase has its own task.
Table of contents Registration dates The registration exercise will run from Monday, 23 March 2026 to Saturday, 26 April 2026. Candidates who do not appear within this duration will be considered not interested in the admission.
Stage 1: Faculty screening and medicals
The very first phase starts at the faculty level.
Credential screening
Students are to visit their respective professors for screening of O’level credentials and JAMB UTME topics.
Medical certificate
Students are also to continue to the University Clinic for their Medical Certificate. This will be based upon dates designated to each professors.
Phase 2: Portal registration and payments
The 2nd stage covers portal access, payment, and faculty documentation.
Portal access
Trainees are to visit the University Website and click “New Registration”.
Invoice and payment
They are to print the payment billing and pay the registration charges through NABROLL.
Payment invoice
After payment, students are to return to the website and print the official Payment Invoice.
Faculty paperwork
Trainees are then to return to their Professors registration point with these documents:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Approval Kind
- credentials for screening and documents
Stage 3: Course registration
The 3rd stage covers course registration for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
UTME students
UTME trainees are to access the University Portal and print their Course Registration Kind, CRF.
Direct Entry students
Direct Entry candidates are to go to their department to copy their courses and credit loads for upload on the portal.
Authentication
After the upload, trainees are to return to the website for final course registration and meet their Level Coordinator for authentication of the CRF.
Phase 4: Final documentation and ID card
The last phase relocates to final records and student services.
Directorate of DEAR
Students are to go to the Directorate for paperwork with all listed registration documents.
Trainee Affairs
They are to continue to the Trainee Affairs Department for their ID Card.
University Library
They are also to complete registration at the University Library.
Files required at DEAR
Candidates are required to come to the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records, DEAR, with originals and four copies of all qualifications.
The noted files are:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Initial ‘A’ level declaration of result(s) for DE candidates
- Initial ‘O’ level declaration of outcome(s) for both UTME and DE prospects
- Records of Academic Records for Ordinary Diploma and National Diploma candidates
- Original Main School Leaving Certificate or Testimonial
- Initial Birth Certificate or Statement of Age
- Original Indigene Identification Certificate or Attestation
- Duly completed undertaking kind
- Two recent passport-size pictures with white background
- Properly completed prospect Screening kind
- Letter of Referral
- Medical Certificate
- Bio-data form
- Approval Confirmation letter
Trainees are also told to upload the very same passport photo to the Registration Portal for the ID Card.
Notes for prospects
Candidates ought to come to the screening point with both originals and photocopies of all noted documents.
The screening exercise starts on Monday, 23 March 2026 and ends on Saturday, 26 April 2026.
Candidates whose original O’Level certificates are not offered at the time of screening might provide an initial online hard copy result slip.
What new trainees need to keep in mind
