Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK)has participated in a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) to reinforce research, capability development and the application of nuclear science and technology to nationwide advancement.
The Memorandum of Comprehending (MoU) was signed on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the NAEC headquarters in Abuja, throughout an engagement led by the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman.
The arrangement supplies a structure for cooperation in between both organizations in nuclear science and technology, with a concentrate on instructional advancement, research, manpower advancement and socio-economic improvement.
Speaking during the engagement, Professor Liman described the collaboration as a major turning point in strengthening the relationship in between NSUK and NAEC.

Dr. Ekedegwa stressed the importance of the peaceful application of nuclear technology to nationwide development, particularly in medicine, agriculture and water resources.
He also declared NAEC’s commitment to offering the needed support for the successful application of the arrangement.
The partnership is anticipated to strengthen NSUK’s research capacity, expand access to specialised clinical facilities and competence, promote knowledge exchange, and gear up students and researchers with abilities relevant to emerging technological and developmental needs.
The signing of the MoU becomes part of Professor Liman’s administration’s efforts to develop an innovative, research-driven and worldwide connected university efficient in equating scholastic research into practical options to social obstacles.
The ceremony concluded with the official finalizing of the arrangement by the leadership of both institutions, followed by the discussion of NSUK mementos to the NAEC Chief Executive by Professor Liman and a group picture to celebrate the partnership.
