    NECO BECE Timetable 2026

    The National Examinations Council, NECO, has officially released the timetable for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Assessment, BECE, likewise known as Junior WAEC.

    The assessment will range from Monday, 20 April 2026 to Thursday, 30 April 2026. For schools, parents, and candidates, this timetable sets the speed early; every paper now has a fixed date and time.

    What schools and prospects should note

    NECO also listed essential instructions for schools and candidates. These points are Authorities, and each one matters on the test day.

    • Every candidate must have a photocard for identification.
    • Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on the timetable, the time on the question paper should be followed strictly.
    • Practicals in Service Studies and Basic Science and Innovation (BST) ought to be taken in sets where the variety of prospects is big and equipment can not go round.
    • The useful examination should not surpass 5:00 pm.
    • Computers can be used for Service Studies.
    • Albinos and blind candidates are to be provided 30 minutes additional time in all subjects.
    • Blind candidates need to use the NECO-supplied OBR Specialised Braille Sheet for the assessment.
    • Usage of easy calculator is allowed.
