The National Examinations Council has actually announced the registration deadlines for the 2026 Elder School Certificate Examination Internal.

Normal registration for the 2026 NECO SSCE Internal will close on Monday, 25 May 2026.

Late Registration Window
Late registration will run from Tuesday, 26 May 2026, to Friday, 29 May 2026.
This provides schools a short period to complete pending entries after normal registration ends.
Last Portal Closure
The NECO registration site will close at 11:59 pm on Friday, 29 May 2026.
After that time, schools will no longer have access for the 2026 SSCE Internal registration process, according to the specified schedule.
NECO Informs Schools to Register Candidates Early
The Council’s Director, Dr Charles E. Udoh, advised schools to speed up the registration of their prospects.
He asked stakeholders to follow the timetable, as NECO mentioned that no more extension would follow the 29 May deadline.
School administrators need to check their prospect lists, complete all pending entries, and prevent leaving registration until the last day.
