Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi has formally confessed a brand-new batch of students during its 33rd admission ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session, with the Vice-Chancellor laying out a vision focused on institutional growth and trainee advancement.

The event, held at the university’s New Convocation Square, likewise marked the first admission commanded by the Vice-Chancellor, Timothy Terseer Alabar, considering that he presumed workplace on February 10, 2026.

He urged the new trainees to stay disciplined and focused, cautioning versus misbehavior. “The University runs a zero-tolerance policy toward evaluation malpractice, cultism, and substance abuse. Trainees must adhere strictly to the guidelines and regulations,” Alabar specified.

Highlighting ongoing reforms, he exposed that a taskforce has been set up to deal with water and electrical power supply difficulties on campus, while efforts are likewise being made to improve staff welfare and infrastructure.

“A Taskforce on Utilities has been inaugurated to improve water and electrical energy supply throughout the campus, while personnel inspiration through capacity advancement and improved working conditions remains a top priority,” he said.

Alabar encouraged trainees to use offered facilities such as the library, center, counselling centres, and the institution’s innovation center to enhance their academic experience.
