IKIRUN, OSUN STATE– The scholastic landscape of Osun State experienced a historical milestone today, April 30, 2026, as Minaret University, Ikirun, celebrated its maiden admission ceremony.
The occasion marked the official induction of the organization’s pioneer associate of trainees, signalling the formal commencement of academic activities at the freshly developed citadel of knowing.
The ceremony, held at the university’s permanent website, drew a recognized gathering of academics, traditional rulers, and academic stakeholders eager to witness the birth of a new age in private college.
A Pledge of Quality and Discipline
Presiding over the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdur-Rahman Oladele Abdullah, advised the matriculants that the oath they took was a binding contract between them and the organization.
He stressed that Turret University was established on the double pillars of extensive academic inquiry and uncompromising moral character.
“This admission represents more than simply a formal registration; it is a pledge of the university’s dedication to cultivating scholastic excellence and moral discipline,” Prof. Abdullah specified throughout his address.
A major highlight of the day was the main inauguration of the Moms and dads Consultative Assembly (PCA) by the University Chancellor, Lawyer Azeez Folorunso Alatoye.
The PCA is a tactical administrative body developed to bridge the gap between university management and students’ guardians.

As the leader students transition from the event to the lecture halls, Minaret University has set a high bar for itself.
With the formal facility of the PCA and a clear mandate from the Vice-Chancellor, the institution intends to rapidly climb the ranks of Nigerian universities by producing graduates who are both intellectually capable and morally grounded.
