DELTA STATE– Margaret Lawrence University (MLU) has officially admitted 262 fresh students into its 2025/2026 academic session, marking its 3rd admission event since inception.

The event, held simultaneously at the organization’s schools in Delta State and Abuja on Monday, March 16, 2026, also worked as a platform for the unveiling of significant infrastructural developments.

The Vice-Chancellor, Teacher Ernest Izevbigie, explained the university as an “Sanctuary of academic quality,” revealing that MLU has actually been acknowledged by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as the fastest-growing university in Nigeria.

Following a custom of inaugurating tasks during matriculation, the university experienced the unveiling of the Water fountain of Happiness International Conference Centre by Bishop David Abioye.

The advanced center hosted the morning’s event and stands as a testament to the university’s rapid infrastructural expansion.

Teacher Izevbigie highlighted that MLU is amongst the unusual private universities in Nigeria to own its own mentor health center de novo. The Paul Odili College of Medicine is presently being positioned as a premier hub for medical training in West Africa.

A key technological highlight is the university’s acquisition of the Anatomage Table– Series 12. Verified as the very first of its kind in West Africa, this 3D touch-screen tool permits trainees to explore life-sized virtual human and animal cadavers, offering deep insights into biological functions without the immediate requirement for physical specimens.

The Pro-Chancellor and Founder, Mr Paul Odili, traced the university’s origins back to a vision he got on January 27, 2011. He guaranteed parents that MLU is committed to “remodelling” kids to fulfill their full capacity.

“We are ready to give the world a various set of tomorrow’s champs,” Odili specified, emphasising that the organization is designed to produce a generation of international achievers equipped for the difficulties these days and tomorrow.

The special guest of honour, former NUC Executive Secretary Abubakar Rasheed, congratulated the trainees on their “scholastic birth.”

He reminded the matriculants that taking the oath signifies an official entry into the intelligentsia, needing a balance of 2 core pillars: Academic Seriousness and Ethical Duty.

Rasheed alerted versus unfavorable social impacts, urging the trainees to keep the high ethical standards necessary to reach their academic end- the convocation event.
