The institutional probe follows widespread public protest after claims emerged online that over 100 students were left out from the university’s current convocation events since a lecturer allegedly stopped working to get in course results dating as far back as their 300-level session.
Amplified Claims and Intimidation Allegations
The scholastic controversy acquired considerable traction after an X user, @TheAjakeManger, highlighted the crisis and appealed directly to Lagos State Guv Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The user declared that the issue extends well beyond the finishing mate and involves existing 200, 300, and 400-level trainees within the affected department.

Management Acknowledgment and Student Union Intervention Reacting to the general public protest, the management of Lagos State University provided an official statement acknowledging the grievances and validating that an administrative query had started to identify lecturer responsibility and rectify portal records.
At the same time, the nationwide leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Trainees (NANS), led by President Akinteye Babatunde, along with the Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Lagos Axis, started direct engagements with university principal officers.
Urging calm throughout the trainee body, NANS management assured affected undergraduates that university management dedicated to solving the outcomes debacle and upgrading affected student portals within the coming week.
