    Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has opened applications for admission into its Higher National Diploma(HND )full-time and part-time programs for the 2026/2027 academic session. The form is for qualified candidates who wish to study any of the listed HND courses at the Polytechnic.     Kwara State Polytechnic HND admission requirements

    Candidates looking for admission into the HND programs need to hold a National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in an appropriate field.

    They should also have five pertinent O’Level credit passes from WASSCE, GCE, NECO, SAISSCE (NBAIS), or NABTEB at not more than two sittings. English Language and Mathematics must be included, in addition to 3 other relevant credit passes.

    Prospects should show proof of one year post-ND cognate experience, also known as Industrial Training.

    Applicants with a Pass grade in ND should have at least two years of post-ND industrial experience. This applies to prospects whose ND outcome falls below Lower Credit.

    Course-specific HND entry rules

    Candidates for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Innovation, Post-Harvest Innovation alternative, need to have at least Lower Credit in ND from any of these areas:

    • Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Innovation
    • Agricultural Technology
    • Agricultural Engineering Technology
    • Food Science Innovation

    Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology need to hold an ND in Mineral Resources Engineering Technology, Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering Innovation, or Mining Engineering Innovation only.

    Holders of ND in Welding and Fabrication can get HND Mechanical Engineering Technology, Production choice.

    Prospects will not be admitted into HND programmes various from their ND programs, other than under the listed special cases above. Holders of ND Mass Interaction will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.

    Holders of ND Computer Engineering will not be confessed into HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or HND Computer technology programmes.

    JAMB registration number rule for HND full-time applicants

    All HND full-time candidates should fill out the JAMB registration number utilized for their ND programs.
