Kaduna State University (KASU) is set to train its non-teaching staff on the application of the Staff member Efficiency Management Appraisal System (EPMAS), a new structure created to improve employee performance and efficiency across the state.
The university divulged this in a circular outdated August 7, 2026, signed by its Registrar, Samira Balarabe, Esq.
. According to the circular, the step-down training is being organised in line with the instruction and schedule of the Workplace of the Head of Service, Kaduna State, following the planned execution of EPMAS throughout Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.
The new appraisal system is expected to change the existing Employee Performance Appraisal process with a more structured performance management framework based upon Key Efficiency Indicators (KPIs) and measurable work targets.
The training for all non-teaching personnel of the university is arranged to hang on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the 1,000-Seater Lecture Theatre, KASU, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
. The Registrar directed heads of colleges, professors, departments and systems to make sure that all personnel under their supervision participate in the training as set up.
The circular stressed that attendance is compulsory, warning that disciplinary steps would be taken against staff who refuse to participate in the training.
The university management urged all worried staff to cooperate with the implementation of the new appraisal system.
