
Trainees and instructors of a school in the Ogba area of Lagos directly escaped death on Monday after a four-storey structure housing the institution collapsed quickly after the occupants were left.
According to TheCable, the building, which housed Yemco Nursery and Main School and Yemco Comprehensive College, apparently collapsed around twelve noon, just minutes after students and employee were vacated the properties.
Estimating witnesses, the newspaper reported that the structure collapsed less than three minutes after the evacuation, averting what might have resulted in significant casualties.
The incident occurred in the Ogba location of the state, activating panic among residents and passersby who hurried to the scene shortly after the building paved the way.
Although problems surrounding the cause of the collapse were not instantly understood, emergency responders and local authorities were stated to have been alerted and are expected to begin investigations to figure out the situations that resulted in the event.
Residents in the area said the prompt evacuation of the trainees and instructors prevented a potential tragedy, keeping in mind that the structure was fully occupied quickly before it collapsed.
Emergency situation authorities are also anticipated to carry out structural assessments of nearby structures to guarantee the security of residents and other occupants in the location.

The narrator also alleged that school authorities attempted to prevent individuals from tape-recording the incident.
