
OBALENDE, LAGOS STATE– In an unusual program of alumni devotion, the instant previous chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Mr. Fuad Atanda-Lawal, has actually started the comprehensive restoration of the Army Children’s School and Dodan Barracks Main School.
The task, performed through the Fuad Atanda-Lawal Foundation, was flagged off on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, marking an individual return for the previous chairman to his alma mater.

This effort, currently awaiting approval from the State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), aims to expose regional educators to local best practices in pedagogy.
The Chairman of LASUBEB, Mr. Hakeem Shittu, admired the move, describing it as an “unusual gesture” among former public workplace holders.
He kept in mind that while numerous think politicians only take from the system, Atanda-Lawal’s return to give back to his primary school sets a new criteria for management.
The Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Elizabeth Alabi, revealed the thankfulness of the staff and students, noting that improved classrooms are directly connected to better knowing results and student spirits.
