The disciplinary action was revealed in a main news release signed by the University Registrar, Mrs Oluwayomi O. Agbebaku, following acts of unrestrained festivity by the impacted final-year trainees after sitting their last paper on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Enforced Ban and Scope of Prohibited Activities

The cancellation follows a specific institutional directive released by the Registrar on September 16, 2026, titled “Restriction of wild jubilation as 2nd semester evaluations for 2025/2026 scholastic session ends.” The policy re-emphasised the university Senate’s long-standing restriction versus wild events within and outside school premises.
