
The Federal Government of Nigeria has actually approved an overall of N4 billion in take-off grants for 2 recently developed tertiary organizations to accelerate their early operations and institutional development.
Under the arrangement, N2 billion each will be assigned to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Polytechnic in Abuja and the Federal University of Science and Innovation located in Epe.
The development was announced by the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, throughout the inauguration of crucial authorities appointed to lead the freshly created organizations.
According to the minister, the grants are intended to support the smooth take-off and early advancement of the organizations.
“The liftoff grants will support the organizations’ launch and growth, enabling them to get rid of initial obstacles and establish a strong structure for future development,” Alausa stated.
He stressed that the management of the recently designated officials would play a crucial role in reinforcing governance and driving academic quality within the organizations.
“The roles of the recently designated officials are crucial in reinforcing leadership and governance in Nigeria’s tertiary education sector,” the minister added.
The Federal Government noted that the funding shows its commitment to expanding access to higher education and strengthening the nation’s human capital development.
Authorities stated the organizations are expected to utilize the funds to establish scholastic structures, enhance infrastructure, and construct strong structures for long-term development and development in Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
