Pan-Atlantic University has actually announced the death of its pioneer Vice-Chancellor and Establishing Dean of the Lagos Business School, Prof Albert Alos, who died at the age of 87.
The university confirmed his death in a statement launched by its Communications System on Monday, mentioning that Alos died on September 5, 2026.
The organization explained his death as a major loss to the university neighborhood and the education sector, commemorating his contributions as a teacher, scholar and organization builder.
“Pan-Atlantic University reveals, with extensive unhappiness, the death of Prof Albert Alos, pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University and Founding Dean of Lagos Service School, who died on September 5, 2026,” the declaration stated.
According to the university, Alos played a significant role in shaping the development of both Pan-Atlantic University and the Lagos Service School through his leadership and commitment to scholastic quality.
The institution said his leadership assisted develop a culture centred on excellence, ethical management and service, values that stay basic to the university’s objective.
“As the University’s pioneer Vice-Chancellor and the Founding Dean of Lagos Company School, Teacher Alos assisted establish a culture of scholastic excellence, ethical management and service that remains central to the institution’s mission and values today,” the statement added.

Pan-Atlantic University also applauded the late academic for his management, wisdom and devotion to education, noting that his effect encompassed generations of leaders serving in Nigeria, Africa and other parts of the world.
It stated his influence exceeded his work in the class, as he motivated students, staff, professor, alumni and associates through his professionalism, integrity and commitment to service.
The university described Alos as a teacher, coach and leader whose contributions were deeply ingrained in the history and values of the institution.
“Prof Albert Alos leaves a legacy deeply woven into the history and principles of Pan-Atlantic University. As an instructor, coach and leader, he inspired countless individuals through his wisdom, stability and service. His contributions will continue to affect generations to come,” the statement stated.
The university added that his efforts helped lay the foundation for an institution concentrated on producing qualified and responsible leaders.
