
The Federal government has actually strengthened its drive for transparency and responsibility in the education sector with the inauguration of the Anti-Corruption and Openness Unit (ACTU) Committee in the Federal Ministry of Education.
The inauguration, kept in Abuja on Wednesday, belongs to efforts to promote ethical governance, institutional stability and efficient public service delivery in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, described ACTU as a crucial system for promoting due procedure, ethical conduct and compliance with public service guidelines across the ministry and its firms.
He stressed that as the organization accountable for creating and carrying out national education policies, the ministry must uphold the highest requirements of professionalism, stability and responsibility. According to him, corruption stays a significant obstacle to national development, diverting resources indicated for education and undermining public confidence.

Adigun discussed that ACTU, established through a collaboration in between the ICPC and the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, functions as a preventive and advisory body for promoting stability and responsibility within federal government institutions.
