“When neighborhoods are in dispute, schools close, farms are abandoned, companies suffer, and young people lose chances,” he cautioned, keeping in mind that investing in institutional peace directly safeguards local livelihoods.
State and Academic Support for Regional Stability
The Executive Guv of Ogun State, speaking through the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, commended District 9111 for its significant humanitarian footprint and its tactical option to anchor the facility within a state organization.
She kept in mind that the brand-new infrastructure will function as an essential regional anchor for mediation and neighborhood development.
Acknowledging the long-lasting vision of the centre, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of OOU, Prof. Olatundun Abosede, expressed deep institutional gratitude to the Rotarians.
She described the facility as a high-yield financial investment in social preservation that will raise OOU’s status as a centre of quality for peacebuilding across the West African sub-region.
The operationalisation of the building marks the fulfilment of a capital project dedication initiated less than a year ago following its initial groundbreaking in September 2025, building on fundamental certificate course designs originated by the instant past District Guv, Dr Oluwole Kukoyi.
