IBADAN, OYO– A 58-year-old part-time instructor, Olubunmi Adebayo, was arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Friday for supposed misconduct and disruptive habits following her termination by school management.
The defendant deals with a one-count charge of conduct most likely to trigger a breach of public peace. She pleaded not guilty to the charge during her official reading before the bench.
Refusal to Vacate Premises After Disciplinary Termination
The prosecution counsel, Inspector Olagoke Adegbenro, informed the court that the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at around 5:50 p.m. within the properties of the Smart School situated in the Ido local government location of Ibadan.
According to the cops manifest, the management of the personal organization had officially terminated Ms. Adebayo’s part-time employment agreement due to unsettled internal administrative problems.

Following the statement of her termination, the accused allegedly tossed a significant tantrum, producing an outcry, yelling at school authorities, and flatly refusing to abandon the academic facilities.
The turmoil supposedly interrupted after-school administrative activities, forcing the school authorities to call in law enforcement operatives to bring back order.
The district attorney maintained that her actions straight breached Section 249(d) of the Bad Guy Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Judicial Bail Metrics and Subsequent Adjournment
Following her non-guilty plea, the presiding magistrate, Mr. Olasinmibo Sanusi, examined the application for bail filed by the defense counsel.
Magistrate Sanusi admitted the accused to bail in the amount of 50,000, with one surety in like sum.
The court included a strict verification stipulation, directing that the carrying out surety must be a validated blood relation of the defendant.
The matter was subsequently adjourned till Tuesday, July 14, 2026, for formal mention.
