
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Evaluation (BECE) results for prospects who completed the across the country assessment.
A total of 126,291 prospects registered for the examination, which covered 12 subjects and was conducted in between April 20 and April 30, 2026.
The development was revealed in a declaration provided on Thursday by NECO’s Performing Director of Info and Public Relations, Azeez Sani.
According to the statement, the results were approved following the successful conclusion of the 2026 BECE Award Committee meeting held at the council’s head office in Minna, Niger State.
Chairperson of the Award Committee and Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education, Folake David, who represented the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, revealed complete satisfaction with the procedures that culminated in the release of the results.
She likewise revealed that the committee had actually approved the schedule for the 2026 BECE re-sit examination.
The re-sit assessment is set up to occur on July 22 and 23, 2026, and will cover Mathematics and English Studies.

According to David, the workout is specifically developed for prospects who taped conditional deficiencies in either Mathematics, English Researches or both subjects.
