The National Universities Commission (NUC) has authorized six new undergraduate scholastic programs for the Federal University of Innovation, Minna (FUT Minna), with impact from the 2026/2027 scholastic session.

The approval followed a resource evaluation exercise performed by a panel of NUC experts to evaluate the human and material resources readily available for the facility of the proposed programmes at the university.

According to a declaration by FUT Minna, the freshly approved full-time programmes are B.Tech. Expert System, B.Tech. Intelligence and Security Studies, B.Eng. Nuclear Engineering, B.Tech. Nuclear Science, B.Tech. Water, Sanitation and Health, and B.Eng. Mining Engineering.

The university said the approval was conveyed in a letter signed on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Teacher Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, by the Director of Academic Preparation, Abubakar M. Girei.

The organization noted that the programs will be offered on a full-time basis at its main school and will commence from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approval is anticipated to broaden FUT Minna’s scholastic offerings and reinforce its capability to offer specialised training in emerging and strategic fields critical to nationwide advancement.
