The Lagos State Federal government has released a statewide effort focused on expanding the reach of archery in public secondary schools as part of efforts to nurture sports talents from the grassroots.
The programme, led by the Lagos State Sports Commission in partnership with the Lagos State Archery Association, began at Sango Junior Secondary School, situated within the Dairy Farms School Complex in Agege. The workout is anticipated to cover all 6 educational districts across the state.
Speaking throughout the inauguration of the mentorship and talent advancement center, the Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Archery Association, Emmanuel Oyeleke, said the job looks for to incorporate archery into the school system while uncovering young skills efficient in excelling in the sport.
