At the heart of the job is a training and recruitment program that will happen in Gliwice, Poland. Individuals will visit 3 steel plants, a steel research study institute, and a metallurgy museum, and, for example, go over profession paths in the steel industry in working groups. The focus will be on difficulties such as the shortage of experienced workers, changes brought about by digitalization, and the market’s image. In addition, the job partners will assess the existing state of technology development, present de-carbonization situations, and evaluation existing recruitment and credentials activities.

Linking social and technological innovations

The Social Proving ground Dortmund brings its extensive proficiency in linking social and technological innovations to the job: “In the past, we have already carried out research study on the competency requirements of a sustainable steel and procedure market, and especially on social development and industrial change,” states Antonius Schröder of the sfs. SUPER is moneyed by the EU for 2 years, coordinated by VDEh Betriebsforschungsinstitut GmbH Düsseldorf (BFI), and implemented in cooperation with 6 partner organizations and one associated partner. The results are planned to help shape European techniques for a socially and ecologically sustainable market.
