The Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE, has opened postgraduate admission for the 2026/2027 scholastic session. Applications are welcomed from appropriately certified candidates into full-time programmes under the School of Postgraduate Researches. The admission covers Ph.D, M.Phil/ Ph.D and Master’s degree programs throughout numerous professors in the university.

Ph.D admission requirements
FUOYE said Ph.D programmes are open to holders of Master’s degrees with a minimum score of 60% in their Master’s degree programmes.
A Ph.D program runs for a minimum of 3 sessions and an optimum of five sessions.
The university also specified that candidates will take relevant courses for the Ph.D program and finish a supervised thesis.
M.Phil/ Ph.D admission requirements
Prospects who score between 55.00% and 59.99% Cumulative Weighted Average, CWA, at Master’s level can look for the M.Phil/ Ph.D program on full-time basis.
The programme runs for a minimum of one session. After that, a candidate may transfer to the Ph.D programme on good performance.
FUOYE stated that candidates in this category can convert to Ph.D candidature after a development assessment report by a Panel of Inspectors at the end of the first session of registration.
To qualify for that conversion, the prospect must score at least 60% aggregate at the end of the very first session.
Master’s degree admission requirements
A candidate looking for admission into a Master’s degree program must have a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division in a Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree programs run for a minimum of 18 calendar months, that is three terms, and an optimum of 24 calendar months, that is four semesters, for full-time prospects.
FUOYE specified that all Master’s degree programmes are by course work, followed by research work that ends with a dissertation.
Other conditions applicants ought to keep in mind
The university stated that a programme immediately lapses at the end of the maximum period fixed for that program.
A candidate might obtain an extension of up to 12 months.
Prospects in routine employment must submit a formal letter of release for postgraduate studies from their employers in addition to their applications.
All applicants who did not finish from FUOYE needs to ask their former universities or schools to send out academic records directly to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies.
For Master’s applicants, the records needs to be that of the First Degree.
For doctoral candidates, the transcript must be that of the Master’s degree.
