    Applications are open for the Connect NextGen Hackathon 2026. The Link NextGen Hackathon (powered by Ericsson, in cooperation with the Federal Government of Nigeria and Tech Transformation Africa)is a nationwide programme set up to identify, assistance, and scale early-stage tech start-ups constructing options for Africa’s pressing obstacles.

    Picked startups will go through an intensive hackathon and an acceleration program; groups get mentorship, direct exposure, and access to strategic partners to help move ideas into sustainable, impact-driven ventures.

  • efficiency, and digital access FinTech: digital tools that improve payments, banking, and monetary addition HealthTech: tech that improves healthcare access, shipment, and outcomes AgriTech: options that increase farming efficiency and
  • food systems EdTech: digital options that enhance learning and skills development
  • Web of Things (IoT): linked devices that enable smart, systems
  • CleanTech: technologies focused on clean energy and environmental management
  • AI/ML: intelligent systems that automate jobs and drive better decisions
  • Sustainability: options that support long-term social, economic, and environmental effect
  • Advantages for selected startups

    Chosen start-ups will get:

    • An 8-week intensive acceleration programme
    • Technical and company mentorship from market experts
    • Access to moneying opportunities and financier networks
    • Presence through media, partners, and community platforms
    • Connecting with government, business, and environment stakeholder groups
    • A chance to pitch live at the Hackathon Demo Day

    Eligibility

    To certify, startups should:

    • Operate in Nigeria
    • Have a minimum feasible product (MVP)
    • Show quantifiable traction or pilot use
    • Be gender-inclusive in group composition

    Application procedure

    After submission, candidates will receive a confirmation e-mail; applications will be evaluated, and only shortlisted or selected startups will be exposured to next actions.
