The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, now Federal University of Technology, Ilaro, has actually announced its 23rd Convocation Event for graduating ND and HND students of the 2024/2025 scholastic session. The notice also invites the public to the line-up of events for the
ceremony. The statement came from the Registrar on behalf of the Acting Vice Chancellor/Rector. The program will run for a complete week; it is set to mark scholastic accomplishment, development within the school, and the conferment of honorary fellowships on prominent characters.
Tabulation Convocation programme and dates Friday, 10 April 2026 Activities will begin with the unveiling of the convocation mascot
at the Beautiful Gate by 10:00 a.m. A Jumat service will follow at the Polytechnic Mosque by 12:00 noon.

The school will hold a convocation funfair at the Pavilion Ground by 10:00 a.m.
. A football match between personnel and trainees will happen at the football pitch by 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, 12 April 2026
A church service is scheduled for the Christian Union Cathedral by 10:00 a.m.
Monday, 13 April 2026
An exhibition will hold at the Multipurpose Hall by 10:00 a.m.
. A media chat with the Acting Vice Chancellor/Rector will follow at the Mass Communication Studio.
Tuesday, 14 April 2026
The day has been repaired for Alumni Day activities.
The alumni walk will begin with the DSA’s workplace by 7:00 a.m.
. An alumni dinner will hold at the Multipurpose Hall by 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 15 April 2026
The grand ending will hold with the convocation and fellowship award ceremony at the Graduation Structure by 9:00 a.m.
Convocation lecture
One huge part of the ceremony is the convocation lecture. The lecture is titled “Digital Literacy: Fundamental Abilities and Task Development Tools for Graduands in the 21st Century.”
Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Executive Governor of Katsina State, will provide the lecture.
Notice to graduating students
Finishing trainees are to keep in mind that collection of scholastic dress will begin on 8 April 2026. Payments are to be made through the school’s website, with compliance to the specified procedures.
The management said all dress must be returned by 16 April 2026. Any late return will bring in a fine of N1,000 per day.
Presence at the convocation event is compulsory for all HND graduands. Lack will bring in a charge of N10,000.
What to keep in mind about the ceremony
The ceremony will bring together graduands, alumni, stakeholders, and members of the general public for a packed schedule of occasions. From the mascot unveiling to the last award ceremony, the programme sets a clear timetable for the week; every date matters.
