The Federal Ministry of Education has tape-recorded a significant milestone after clinching several awards at the SERVICOM Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) Awards, in acknowledgment of its commitment to service delivery, responsibility, and institutional performance.

At the ceremony, the Ministry received an Unique Recognition Award from the SERVICOM Office under the #SERVICOMWORKSHERE initiative. The honour acknowledges the Ministry’s continual efforts in bridging the gap between government and residents through improved service shipment.

The Ministry likewise became the second-best carrying out Ministerial SERVICOM Unit (MSU), further making commendation for preserving high service standards throughout its operations.

In a strong demonstration of its digital transformation drive, the Ministry secured five extra awards in Information and Communication Innovation (ICT), highlighting its tactical release of digital tools to enhance efficiency and service effectiveness.

The awards were officially presented to the Permanent Secretary, Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, throughout the Ministry’s second management conference for the first quarter of 2026. The discussion was led by the Director of ICT, Zainab Abubakar, together with Yiman Innocent of the Reforms Coordination and Service Enhancement Department.

Speaking at the meeting, Enitan charged personnel and departments to sustain quality through strict adherence to the Ministry’s mandate, stressing its leadership function within the Federal Civil Service.

He worried the significance of professionalism, precision, and attention to information in official communication and administrative processes, warning that lapses in preparation and execution could undermine the Ministry’s credibility.

The Permanent Secretary also required enhanced coordination, timely information sharing, and proactive planning, noting that efficient preparation stays key to avoiding inefficiencies.

Reaffirming the Ministry’s vision, he prompted directors and departmental heads to enhance internal processes, adding that the efficiency of each system straight impacts the general effectiveness of the institution.

The recognitions, he noted, function as both a recognition of ongoing reforms and a call to sustain high standards in service delivery.

“These recognitions highlight our duty as a leading organization in the Federal Civil Service. We must continue to promote professionalism, precision, and proactive service delivery, ensuring that every department contributes effectively to our cumulative required,” stated Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan.
